What is a PARALEGAL?
A paralegal is a professional who assists lawyers in their work. They perform a variety of tasks, including conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, organizing case files, and assisting in trial preparation. A successful paralegal possesses strong organizational and research skills, attention to detail, a solid understanding of legal concepts, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Paralegals can work in various settings, including law firms, corporate legal departments, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations. They may specialize in areas such as litigation, real estate, immigration, intellectual property, or family law.
To become a paralegal, you typically need a bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or a related field, although some positions may only require a certificate or associate's degree. It is also beneficial to gain practical experience through internships or volunteering. Some paralegals choose to obtain certification through professional organizations to enhance their credentials and job prospects.
The duties of a paralegal vary depending on the specific area of law and the employer. They may be responsible for conducting interviews with clients and witnesses, assisting in trial preparation, and organizing and managing documents or evidence. Paralegals play a crucial role in supporting attorneys during trial, including drafting legal pleadings and motions, and attending court proceedings.
The career outlook for paralegals is positive, with a projected growth rate of 10% from 2019 to 2029, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The demand for paralegals is driven by law firms and other organizations seeking to reduce costs by delegating legal tasks to paralegals instead of hiring more expensive attorneys. Paralegals can also advance their careers by specializing in a particular area of law, gaining experience, and pursuing additional education or certification.
In summary, a career as a paralegal can be challenging and rewarding, offering opportunities to work in different legal fields and contribute to the legal profession. With the right education and skills, paralegals can enjoy a fulfilling and successful career.

About Me/This Site
Hi, My name is Amy. I've been designing images for POD (Print-On-Demand) Sites for 14 years as a "side job". I started with CafePress in 2008, and RedBubble in 2022. I've been trying to bring as much as possible over to RedBubble. Shortly after starting with RedBubble, I discovered they were not allowing my designs/products to be index by Google and other search engines. I decided to create this site to try to get my RedBubble products seen by others. Especially those cute stickers!
