What is a SECURITY ENGINEER?
A security engineer is a professional responsible for protecting an organization's information systems and networks from potential threats, ensuring that data remains confidential, secure, and available to authorized individuals. They use various security tools, technologies, and protocols to identify vulnerabilities, implement security measures, and design security systems to safeguard computer networks and systems.
Responsibilities of a security engineer commonly include:
1. Assessing potential risks and vulnerabilities in computer systems and networks.
2. Developing and implementing security measures, policies, and procedures to mitigate identified risks.
3. Monitoring and analyzing system and network logs to detect and respond to security breaches.
4. Conducting periodic security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning to identify system weaknesses.
5. Evaluating and recommending security hardware, software, and other security-related technologies.
6. Investigating and resolving security incidents, including conducting forensic analysis.
7. Collaborating with software developers and system administrators to ensure secure system development and maintenance practices.
8. Keeping up to date with the latest security technologies, trends, and threats.
9. Participating in incident response planning and coordination.
10. Educating employees on cybersecurity best practices and awareness.
To become a security engineer, a bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field is usually required. Additionally, professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) are highly valued. Security engineers should possess strong technical skills, including knowledge of various operating systems, programming languages, network protocols, and security tools. Good communication and problem-solving skills are also important in order to effectively address security challenges and work with other teams within an organization.

About Me/This Site
Hi, My name is Amy. I've been designing images for POD (Print-On-Demand) Sites for 14 years as a "side job". I started with CafePress in 2008, and RedBubble in 2022. I've been trying to bring as much as possible over to RedBubble. Shortly after starting with RedBubble, I discovered they were not allowing my designs/products to be index by Google and other search engines. I decided to create this site to try to get my RedBubble products seen by others. Especially those cute stickers!
